The 2023 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir opens with deep red and black fruits, like red and black currants, supported by a hint of thyme and cardamom. It’s an intense wine that shows off the depth of wines from the Willamette Valley. On the palate, the red fruits persist, but as they are wrapped in the embrace of bergamot. The bright acidity plays well with balanced tannins producing a lengthy finish. The wine is drinking well now and will age well over the next 5 to 10 years.
